1.1 Program descriptionThe work program has been developed based on the requirements of Chapter XI-2 of the SOLAS International Code, the ISPS Code and the recommendations of the IMO Maritime Safety Committee MSC.1/Circ.1154. The educational program has been compiled taking into account the requirements of paragraphs 3, 4, 6, 7 of Article 85, paragraph 4 of Article 76 of the Law on Education of the Russian Federation.1.2 Program goals and objectivesObjective: to train shipping company officials responsible for security in accordance with the recommendations of the IMO Maritime Safety Committee MSC/Circ.1154.Objectives:1. To develop knowledge in students of:✓ the main provisions, goals and objectives of the ISPS Code and other international instruments on ensuring the security of ships and port facilities;✓ the main provisions of national legislation in the field of ship and port facility security;✓ the areas of responsibility and functional duties of organizations involved in the field of ship and port facility security.2. To develop the skills of trainees to: ✓ Assess the risk of terrorist vulnerability and the level of threats to ship security; ✓ Develop, approve, implement, maintain and ensure the effective functioning of a ship security plan; ✓ Inspect the security of the company's vessels to continuously maintain the established level of security and the necessary ship security measures; ✓ Properly operate, calibrate, check and maintain the security equipment used on board ships; ✓ Coordinate and effectively interact with ship officers, shipping company and port officials, representatives of coastal States and the ship's flag State on security matters; ✓ Develop vigilance and readiness of personnel to perform their duties at various security levels. 1.3 Category of traineesShipping company officials responsible for security. 1.4 Entry requirements for traineesAttainment of 18 years of age
